Physician Billing Associate Specialist

Location: Remote across the United States; a HIPAA-compliant workspace is required, and occasional onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate offices may be required.

Salary: $17.00–$18.65 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Manage client billing and ensure procedures are billed according to contracts.
• Review and update client statements as needed.
• Print and mail paper and secondary claims.
• Scan documents into patient accounts.
• Review correspondence and follow up as required while meeting compliance standards.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, including 1–2 years of hospital billing experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must maintain a HIPAA-compliant home workspace and be able to work onsite at designated locations when business needs require.
• CRCR certification required within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of insurance follow-up, Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and managed care billing.

Nice to have

• Experience in hospital operations, compliance, and provider relations.
• Home health care billing experience.
