Credentialing & Payor Enrollment Specialist

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; travel and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required based on business needs.

Salary: $19.75–$23.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate CAQH profiles, provider records, attestations, licenses, and annual provider or location updates.
• Enter provider applications into payer portals and manage enrollment through databases, CAQH, NPPES, licensing boards, and payer websites.
• Track provider onboarding activities, follow up on time-sensitive tasks, and ensure completion against deadlines and quality standards.
• Respond to payers, strategic partners, internal departments, vendors, and facilities with enrollment and credentialing updates.
• Identify support and performance gaps, propose technology or process improvements, and help implement best practices.
• Protect confidential provider information, address emerging issues, and escalate risks or complex matters to leadership.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with insurance enrollments is strongly preferred.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and working knowledge of databases and enrollment software.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, independent work, prioritization, deadline management, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PECOS and state Medicaid portals; openness to using AI to improve processes is required.
