TL;DR
Cyber Security - Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist (AU) (ISO 27001/GRC): Owning and maturing the information security management system and governance processes across global operations with an accent on ISO 27001 audits, cyber risk management, and vendor assurance. Focus on automating evidence collection, validating security controls, and producing executive-level risk reporting.
Location: Onsite at the central headquarters in Sydney, Australia

What you will do
- Own and continuously improve the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, including recertification and surveillance audits.
- Define governance structures covering control ownership, policy lifecycle management, and internal assurance.
- Lead internal audits, identify non-conformities, and drive remediation to closure.
- Maintain the cyber risk register and provide executive-level reporting for risk-based decision-making.
- Design automation for assurance, compliance, evidence collection, and risk reporting.
- Lead control validation, vendor risk management, and customer and regulatory assurance activities across global operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating or owning an ISO 27001 ISMS and audit lifecycle.
- At least 5 years of experience in GRC, security engineering, security analysis, compliance, or risk roles.
- Knowledge of project management, vendor and customer compliance programmes, risk management, and ISO 31000.
- Experience visualising security control information through dashboards, integrations, or risk-related reporting.
- Understanding of corporate, infrastructure, and cloud security fundamentals, identity and access management, and large-scale data handling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Comfort working on the command line in a Linux-first environment.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM technologies.
- Experience with ISM, PSPF, DISP, CMMC, or NIST frameworks.
