TL;DR
Assistant Financial Controller (Financial Control and Reporting): Supporting financial control, reporting, audit, tax compliance, and statutory accounting across eight Middle East countries with an accent on IFRS, balance sheet integrity, payroll, billing, and regional regulatory requirements. Focus on coordinating multi-jurisdiction audits, identifying control gaps and financial risks, and improving working capital and operational efficiency.

What you will do
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, management accounts, regional reporting packs, and statutory financial statements for Middle East entities.
- Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and support commercial decision-making with financial insight.
- Coordinate internal and external audits across multiple jurisdictions, prepare audit schedules, and resolve auditor queries.
- Monitor billing, payroll, payments, cash positions, working capital, staff costs, and other controllable items.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balances.
- Support corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and quarterly reforecasting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial control roles.
- Fully qualified accountant with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience; ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Experience managing external audits and preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, accrual accounting principles, financial controls, billing, and payroll processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Must be located in Dubai, UAE.
