  • Experience with loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, I/O lists, cable schedules, calibration, loop checking, and field commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of hazardous-area classification under NEC Article 500/505 or IEC 60079 and intrinsic safety principles.
  • Knowledge of control panel design, I/O architecture, field wiring, grounding, shielding, signal segregation, industrial protocols, and IEC 61511 concepts.

Nice to have

  • ISA CAP or CCST certification, Professional Engineer license or eligibility.
  • Experience with SIL verification, control-valve sizing software, instrument asset management systems, and HART or Foundation Fieldbus configuration.
  • Experience with analytical, radiation-monitoring, criticality-monitoring, or nuclear-qualified instrumentation.
  • Experience with corrosive, high-purity, high-temperature, molten-salt, cleanroom, glovebox, or contamination-controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and instrumentation CAD tools.
