Interoperability Engineer II (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Own and maintain interoperability verification requirements and traceability to verification evidence.
• Develop and execute verification plans, test cases, and test procedures for connected medical devices.
• Perform system-level, interface-level, and integration verification for device-to-device and device-to-IT connectivity.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality, Cybersecurity, IT, and Clinical stakeholders.
• Assess changes, determine verification impact, and troubleshoot defects found during testing.
• Prepare compliant verification documentation and evidence for design control and regulatory needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Biomedical, Computer, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical device or regulated product development, focused on verification activities.
• Strong background in requirements management, traceability, and verification planning.
• Hands-on experience with system, interface, or integration verification testing.
• Familiarity with medical device interoperability, healthcare IT integration, or connected systems.
• Experience with design control and change management, plus strong technical documentation and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with requirements and verification tools such as DOORS or ALM tools.
• Exposure to healthcare data exchange mechanisms or interface specifications.
• Working knowledge of FDA, ISO, IEC, and software lifecycle standards.
