What you will do
- Design, build, and operate backend systems that generate customer-facing insights from security data pipelines.
- Develop production-grade, reliable, maintainable software that handles edge cases and long-term operational needs.
- Own systems end-to-end across design, implementation, deployment, observability, and production reliability.
- Solve data and backend challenges involving scale, correctness, freshness, performance, and reliability.
- Translate ambiguous product, research, and technical needs into pragmatic technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Research, Data, and Engineering while raising standards for system design, code quality, ownership, and communication.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience designing and operating production systems at scale.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, data modeling, and system design.
- Experience building data-intensive systems and working with ClickHouse, Postgres, or similar data stores.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, Rust, or another general-purpose programming language.
- Experience with cloud-native environments, strong communication, ownership, urgency, and comfort with ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar data pipeline and orchestration frameworks.
- Background in security, identity, risk, or enterprise SaaS.
