Software Engineer - Cloud (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Israel with at least three office days per week; Ramat Gan office and biweekly travel to Caesarea. Two work-from-home days per week.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the core cloud platform for real-time video streaming, recording, and AI processing.
• Design and maintain distributed backend services connecting edge infrastructure, cloud systems, and customer-facing applications.
• Develop real-time and batch data pipelines for video and AI-related workloads.
• Build multi-tenant, highly available systems for video ingestion, storage, retrieval, and secure data handling across regions.
• Collaborate with edge engineers and adjacent teams, using Google Cloud services and SDKs.
• Develop and optimize backend systems with JavaScript/Node.js, with potential work in Go, including code reviews, debugging, and production support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend or cloud systems.
• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a computing specialization, or a related field.
• Hands-on JavaScript/Node.js backend experience and experience with cloud provider services and SDKs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time or event-driven architectures, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in Israel, with at least three office days per week, periodic work from Caesarea, and occasional remote support outside regular hours.

Nice to have

• GCP experience and experience with video streaming pipelines or cloud media infrastructure.
• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, MQTT, Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization.
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines, data platforms, or security practices such as IAM, encryption, secure APIs, and zero trust.
• Backend experience with NestJS or Go.
