Portfolio Manager, Automotive Software Product Strategy

Location: Hybrid role based in Novi, Michigan, USA, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Up to 10% domestic and international travel is required.

Salary: $125,250–$183,700 annually, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses or commission.

What you will do

• Define and drive the business strategy, product roadmap alignment, and growth priorities for the Software Products portfolio.
• Optimize R&D investment by prioritizing critical areas and recommending divestment from underperforming segments.
• Lead long-term business planning, including revenue, EBIT, and cost targets at portfolio and product levels.
• Develop partnership and operating strategies involving strategic partners, ecosystems, reseller channels, and hyperscalers.
• Align product, engineering, sales, and finance stakeholders around investment and commercial decisions.
• Build and lead a team of two employees producing executive-level insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or major technology companies.
• Deep understanding of automotive connected vehicle solutions, technologies, and industry trends.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and resource allocation.
• Experience leading product teams across different stages of the product life cycle.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience working across functions, levels, and geographies.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and a postgraduate degree in business.
