Regional Operations & Fleet Expansion Manager (Robotics)

Location: Gold Coast, Australia; on-site. Regular work takes place in office, depot, laboratory, and field environments. Domestic and international travel is required as business needs demand.

Salary: A$161,000–A$180,000 per year, plus commission. Total compensation varies by geographic location and level.

What you will do

• Lead daily field operations supporting commercial delivery services and autonomous robot deployments.
• Manage fleet performance, uptime, throughput, MTTR, SLA attainment, maintenance, repairs, inventory, tooling, and facility readiness.
• Lead, hire, onboard, coach, and develop Operations and Fleet team members, including scheduling and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, scalability, safety, compliance, and customer experience.
• Lead end-to-end launches of new markets, including operational planning, testing, depot setup, vendor onboarding, and launch readiness.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Fleet Management, Policy, Mapping, Hardware, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to resolve risks and scale operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, robotics, autonomous systems, mobility, automotive, aerospace, or related technical operations.
• 2+ years of direct people leadership experience managing operational or technical teams, including hiring, coaching, and development.
• Experience managing operational KPIs, service-level agreements, dashboards, ticketing systems, or CMMS tools.
• Strong project, stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work on-site and travel domestically and internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience launching new operational markets or products and managing third-party vendors or contractors.
• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, mobility, or last-mile delivery operations.
• Exposure to regulatory compliance, permitting, government relations, international operations, and advanced operational reporting.
• Multilingual abilities.
