Senior AI/ML Engineer (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Own AI/ML initiatives from ideation and experimentation through evaluation, deployment, and integration handoff.
• Design and prototype agentic workflows in which models reason, plan, call tools, and collaborate with other systems.
• Train, fine-tune, or adapt models and develop preprocessing, augmentation, and evaluation techniques for complex datasets.
• Build production-ready, observable, scalable AI systems and reusable infrastructure for experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
• Embed ethical, responsible, and secure AI practices into system design and deployment.
• Mentor engineers on experimental design, evaluation methodology, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in ML or applied AI, with a track record of delivering models or AI systems into production.
• Deep expertise in at least one of model training and evaluation, agentic system design, or retrieval and evaluation architecture, with familiarity across the other areas.
• Experience evaluating ML/AI systems and designing representative evaluation distributions and meaningful metrics.
• Strong understanding of trade-offs among model quality, cost, inference speed, and system complexity when working with large, complex, or unstructured datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML/AI frameworks and tooling, such as PyTorch, inference servers, and LLM or agent frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases, embedding models, and context retrieval strategies.
• Background in NLP, computer vision, or other relevant ML domains.
• Familiarity with MLOps tooling, experiment tracking, model versioning, and CI/CD for ML.
• Open-source ML/AI contributions, peer-reviewed publications, or experience with AWS, Azure, or other production AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
