SkillBridge - Cybersecurity & IT Operations Associate (Cybersecurity)

Location: North Kingstown, Rhode Island, USA. Must be within a commutable distance or willing and approved to relocate to the job location.

What you will do

• Deploy and manage secure networks, cloud services, and endpoints across the headquarters, DC office, remote workforce, and manufacturing facility.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and ITAR requirements.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, identity, access controls, SaaS accounts, and hardware environments.
• Provide IT helpdesk support by triaging tickets and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Perform vulnerability scans, support patching schedules, and participate in incident response drills.
• Help set up manufacturing IT systems and segment operational technology from the corporate network.

Requirements

• Eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge program, including projected honorable discharge, completed TAP and transition requirements, and approval from a unit commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
• Hands-on experience supporting end users and administering Windows, macOS, and basic Linux systems, including device provisioning, troubleshooting, and ticket-based support.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, network segmentation, cloud productivity platforms, and IdP/SSO systems.
• Practical experience with MFA, endpoint protection, phishing defense, encryption, log review, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ITAR, including evidence-focused documentation and control execution.
• Self-directed, adaptable, collaborative, and able to take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
