.Net Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Cebu, Philippines. The role is part of an engineering team described as being based in Singapore.

What you will do

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend microservices for a global messaging platform.
• Expand and evolve core messaging platform capabilities.
• Optimize service performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop unit tests and participate in integration test design.
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders on requirements and alignment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert knowledge of .NET Core and C#.
• Strong understanding of RESTful web services, microservices architecture, multithreaded applications, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience using cloud platforms to develop scalable and reliable applications.
• Written and verbal fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with highly loaded, mission-critical distributed systems in production.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, or Istio.
• Exposure to communications or messaging domains.
• Experience using AI tools, LLM APIs, or building AI agents.
