DevOps Engineer

Location: Quito, Ecuador; Workplace: Hybrid

What you will do

• Support cloud infrastructure, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and development environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and application-environment issues.
• Write and maintain Bash, Python, or similar automation scripts.
• Support Docker-based applications and work with Linux/Unix command-line environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications, investigate logs and alerts, and address basic performance issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers on deployment workflows, documentation, security, secrets management, IAM, and operational practices.

Requirements

• Practical experience or a solid foundation in Linux/Unix, Git, scripting, CI/CD, cloud platforms, networking, Docker, monitoring, and cloud security.
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with generative AI tools for technical work and problem-solving.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills are required, both written and spoken.
• Clear technical communication, concise documentation, problem-solving, ownership, and effective collaboration with software engineers.
• The application and CV must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
• Ansible, AWS services, infrastructure monitoring, alerting, or incident-response experience.
