Staff Wafer Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Fremont, California, United States; onsite at the Fremont office

Salary: $119,900–$159,800 annually

What you will do

• Sustain ion beam milling and deposition processes for magnetic and non-magnetic thin films.
• Review data, disposition wafers, and flag process excursions.
• Develop robust processes to reduce within-wafer and wafer-to-wafer variation and improve wafer yield.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, integration, and equipment engineering teams to transfer new tools and processes to production.
• Support fab operations around the clock by addressing production issues.

Requirements

• BS degree with 0–3+ years of experience, or MS degree with 0–1+ year of experience, in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related engineering field.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and failure analysis skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems as a team member.
• Willingness to learn new areas and conduct research.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
