2027 Internship - Quantitative Researcher (Undergrad)

Location: New York, United States; onsite 10-week program from June 7 to August 13, 2027

Salary: $5,000–$5,800 weekly, excluding sign-on bonuses, housing, meals, benefits, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Transform large trading datasets into usable trading models and quantitative insights.
• Research patterns and trading ideas that can improve algorithmic market-making strategies.
• Complete one or two real quantitative research projects with guidance from senior mentors.
• Apply data analysis tools to trading data and learn about hirify.global’s customer market-making business.
• Work independently and collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, developers, and peers.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or coursework in science, mathematics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• Strong GPA and challenging, diverse quantitative coursework.
• Exceptional quantitative, mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong programming skills, especially in C/C++, Python, and Pandas.
• Ability to express ideas mathematically and algorithmically and solve technical or quantitative problems under pressure.
• Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, flexibility, collaboration skills, and an interest in financial markets.
