Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco or Boston office; office attendance required at least 3 days per week, ideally 4–5 days.

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 annually, plus equity options.

hirify.global is building a consumer healthcare store for shopping for virtual and in-person care, prescriptions, labs, imaging, and related services with upfront cash and insurance pricing.

What you will do

• Build hirify.global's first native mobile application from scratch using React Native.
• Make foundational architectural decisions and establish reusable development patterns.
• Develop primarily with TypeScript and React while integrating native iOS and Android capabilities.
• Implement integrations such as HealthKit, push notifications, and video-calling SDKs using Swift or Kotlin when needed.
• Contribute to the Next.js web frontend and architect shared code across mobile and web.
• Collaborate with design, operations, and clinical stakeholders while contributing to product requirements, SQL analysis, and QA.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building mobile applications, including meaningful production experience with React Native.
• Strong understanding of native iOS or Android development with Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience with Expo build tooling, over-the-air updates, and native module configuration.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React.
• Experience architecting shared code between mobile and web codebases, or a strong perspective on how to do so effectively.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco or Boston office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Healthcare industry experience.
