Senior Autonomous Vehicle Software Engineer

What you will do

• Architect behavior-planning logic and decision frameworks for complex vehicle maneuvers.
• Develop trajectory-generation systems balancing safety, passenger comfort, and vehicle progress.
• Translate traffic rules and operational design domain constraints into interpretable planning behaviors.
• Solve long-tail scenarios involving pedestrians, occlusions, and construction zones.
• Integrate planning with perception, prediction, localization, and control modules.
• Validate solutions through simulation, closed-course trials, and on-road testing while optimizing deterministic real-time performance on embedded automotive hardware.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong C++ experience developing robust real-time systems, plus Python for tooling and data analysis.
• Expertise in planning algorithms, including search, sampling, and optimization-based methods.
• Experience with decision architectures such as finite-state machines and behavior trees.
• Understanding of vehicle kinematics and dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with ROS, ROS2, or comparable autonomous middleware.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping an autonomous vehicle planner on public roads and analyzing disengagement data.
• Experience with CARLA or custom scenario frameworks.
