Director of Product Management (Telecom)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the Sunnyvale office

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and drive the product roadmap based on company goals, customer needs, and revenue opportunities.
• Own product outcomes including adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue contribution.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements and prioritized backlogs.
• Partner with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success to deliver and launch products.
• Work directly with customers to understand use cases and validate product direction.
• Mentor and coach product managers while making prioritization decisions across features, bugs, and technical investments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, preferably with telecom, networking, or infrastructure products.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including FCAPS, fiber, microwave, Layer 2 switching, and on-premises deployments.
• Experience owning product roadmaps and leading cross-functional execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering; an MBA is preferred.
• Ability to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building products for telecom operators or large infrastructure customers.
• Familiarity with optical systems or wireless backhaul technologies.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
• Exposure to AI-driven systems or data and analytics products.
