Senior Backend Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services and data pipelines for rapid ingestion, processing, and review of enterprise-scale field data.
• Build services supporting real-time collaboration and data gathering in the field.
• Develop AI-based features and transform complex data into intuitive workflows for office teams and field workers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, Operations, backend, CV/ML, and platform engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership on 0-to-1 projects and mentor engineers on backend engineering practices.
• Contribute to technical planning, feature roadmaps, architectural decisions, and successful feature launches.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping backend systems in SOA and/or EDA environments.
• Expertise with modern backend technologies and infrastructure, including Function as a Service and Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in data processing, streaming technologies, databases, and data storage.
• Strong familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerized infrastructure.
• Ability to manage project priorities, deadlines, deliverables, and long-term technical planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Experience with 3D visualization or computer-vision-powered experiences.
• Exposure to ML/AI-driven feature development.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability tooling, and automated testing practices.
