Design Director (AI)

Location: United States; Workplace: Hybrid

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 annual pay, adjusted according to level and U.S. geographic pay region.

What you will do

• Lead creative direction and design execution for sophisticated digital experiences from concept through launch.
• Design large-scale websites, digital products, design systems, and connected experiences.
• Translate complex systems, content, and workflows into intuitive, elegant user experiences.
• Prototype, explore, and iterate on concepts while partnering with strategists, writers, technologists, and producers.
• Mentor designers through hands-on collaboration, feedback, and creative leadership.
• Present work to clients, contribute to pitches, and champion accessible, inclusive, human-centered design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing sophisticated digital products, websites, or connected digital ecosystems.
• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, strong UX thinking, and systems-level problem solving.
• Experience leading large-scale websites, digital platforms, enterprise experiences, or design systems from concept through launch.
• Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and design systems.
• Strong prototyping, exploratory design, collaboration, client presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach suited to small, multidisciplinary teams.
