AI Software Engineer (LLM)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid work with 3 days per week at the Paris office

What you will do

• Build and iterate on production LLM features, including agentic workflows with LangGraph and LangSmith.
• Scale the orchestration, performance, and reliability foundations supporting AI capabilities.
• Improve LLM quality, latency, robustness, safety, cost efficiency, and observability.
• Systematically enhance LLM systems through versioned prompts, offline and online evaluations, data analysis, and real-world feedback.
• Partner with the ML Engineer on AI system design, evaluation, and productionization.
• Contribute to architectural and product decisions for AI-powered incident detection and remediation workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and a proven record of shipping production systems.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features in production and understanding quality, cost, latency, and safety trade-offs.
• Experience industrializing LLM systems with caching, batching, model routing, observability, rate limiting, and ML CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Python skills, familiarity with SQL and REST APIs, and the ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Senior-level experience debugging complex systems, refactoring, reviewing code, and designing for scalability.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; clear communication and effective collaboration with ML teams.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform for independently deploying and operating services.
• French for day-to-day collaboration in the Paris office.
