Staff Product Manager - Protein Solutions

Location: Carlsbad, California, or South San Francisco, California, USA

Salary: $154,000–$190,000 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Own and grow the high-throughput Protein Solutions products and services portfolio in collaboration with commercial teams.
• Gather customer and strategic partner input to define disruptive products and services.
• Develop product strategies, business plans, positioning, financial analyses, and roadmaps aligned with company objectives.
• Define, prioritize, and analyze product requirements, metrics, and supporting data.
• Partner with development, production, sales, and commercial teams to deliver products through implementation and commercial launch.
• Assess partnerships and competitors, train sales teams, and create product messaging and sales collateral.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in life sciences or a related field, including more than 5 years in product management or marketing.
• Successful experience defining and launching products and services in protein or antibody production and characterization.
• Deep knowledge of protein production and purification platforms and analytical methodologies.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-profile collaborations.
• Degree in molecular biology, protein science, or a related scientific field.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills; ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated laboratory infrastructure.
• Ph.D., MBA, or another advanced degree.
