Senior Backend Engineer (Search Team) (Elasticsearch)

Location: Hybrid work model with 2 days at the office and 3 days remote

What you will do

• Shape the evolution of search and information-classification features in the product.
• Improve search-engine relevance and integrate additional knowledge sources and third-party search engines.
• Define features, design APIs and underlying data models, and implement business logic.
• Act as a proactive partner for API consumers, including web and mobile applications.
• Optimize services and collaborate through pair programming, design discussions, technical decisions, and Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of significant backend development experience, including Elasticsearch.
• Solid initial experience with Python and Go.
• Knowledge of search relevance.
• Familiarity with testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and version control.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Curiosity, collaboration, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
