Electronics Technician (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build, route, terminate, label, and document wiring harnesses using drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Crimp, solder, connect, and verify wiring continuity and polarity before powering systems.
• Assemble and integrate onboard computing, sensors, and embedded hardware into robot platforms.
• Work safely with batteries, power distribution, motor controllers, and low- and mid-voltage systems.
• Diagnose electrical assembly issues down to the connector or component level and support hardware bring-up, bench testing, and debugging.
• Maintain the electronics bench, tools, equipment, cabling, and simple enclosures.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with wiring, harnessing, crimping, soldering, and basic electrical or power work.
• Experience assembling and troubleshooting computing hardware, including builds, upgrades, and component-level debugging.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-focused approach to power and electrical systems.
• Comfort working in a hands-on, industrial, hardware-heavy environment.
• Reliable, proactive, self-directed, and willing to contribute across practical team needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, automotive, or industrial electrical and wiring work.
• Familiarity with multimeters and bench power supplies.
• Experience with microcontrollers, basic digital or analog circuitry, personal electronics projects, or power tools.
