Salary: $25.00–$50.00 per hour, with overtime eligibility. An annual range of $52,000–$104,000 USD is also stated.

Company

hirify.global is a vertically integrated space and defense company developing hardware for low-Earth-orbit missions, including satellite buses, in-orbit servicing robotics, and mission systems.

What you will do

  • Build and integrate electrical and mechanical hardware, including cable harnesses, connectors, sensors, motors, actuators, and enclosures.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, wiring, mechanical assembly, rework, inspection, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Work with engineers to identify design and assembly issues during prototype builds.
  • Convert one-off prototype builds into repeatable assembly processes, work instructions, inspection steps, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Support hardware testing, failure investigation, repair, modification, installation, operation, and teardown at field and test sites.
  • Maintain workmanship, safety, ESD, FOD, and configuration-control standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly, prototype fabrication, hardware integration, or manufacturing.
  • Strong soldering, crimping, cable and wire harness fabrication, and connector termination skills.
  • Experience assembling mechanical components, motors, actuators, sensors, mechanisms, and enclosures.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pinout tables, and bills of materials, and use electrical test, hand, torque, and precision measurement tools.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship and is subject to ITAR-related eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to travel to remote test sites, work outdoors in demanding conditions, and safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, or other high-reliability hardware.
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA workmanship, or similar certification.
  • Experience developing assembly processes, work instructions, fixtures, tooling, or inspection criteria.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, environmental, vibration, thermal, vacuum, propulsion, or field testing.
  • Technical, trade, associate-degree, military, or apprenticeship training in electronics, avionics, mechanical systems, or manufacturing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work in a vertically integrated environment with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, integration, and test teams.
  • Full-time, non-exempt hourly employment with occasional overtime and evening or weekend work based on build and test schedules.
  • 100% paid employee medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 90% dependent coverage, plus life insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with company match, 12 paid days off, and 12 company holidays annually.
  • Free snacks and drinks and regular social events.

Hiring process

  • Remote interview with the Head of HR, followed by onsite interviews and hands-on skill exercises in Torrance.
  • Required paid onsite temporary employment or contract engagement lasting approximately two to four weeks.
  • Full-time hiring decision after evaluation of workmanship, execution speed, communication, judgment, and fit.
