Senior Software Engineer (with Delivery Management)

Location: Hybrid role in London, UK. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Base salary: £76,900–£123,500 per year, plus bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain cross-platform desktop and mobile application features using modern C++ and other languages as required.
• Own the endpoint software roadmap, translating product priorities into delivery plans and coordinating work across a small engineering team.
• Scope, design, estimate, and prototype complex software and integration work while managing cross-team dependencies.
• Lead integration and testing across hardware, remote-side workflow applications, identity providers, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Own release management with the testing lead across manual testing and automated test development.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and improve maintainability, automation, API stability, and supportability.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or scientific subject.
• Experience developing complex modern C++ software for systems, desktop, or mobile applications.
• Experience with software design and architecture, systems-level problem-solving, concurrency, IPC, networking, security, performance, and algorithms.
• Ability and willingness to take on delivery responsibility, including planning, coordination, and end-to-end ownership.
• Strong technical reasoning, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Nice to have

• Delivery management, prioritisation, stakeholder coordination, and cross-team dependency management experience.
• Java or Kotlin with Android NDK/JNI development, or iOS development with Swift or Objective-C.
• Qt, CI/CD, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Python for automation and testing.
• Experience with AI development tooling, agentic workflows, usability, application design, or line management.
