On-Site Lead ROI Medical Records Specialist

Location: On-site at COS - Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama; candidates must be local to Huntsville

What you will do

• Process release-of-information requests by retrieving, scanning, validating, and returning patient medical records.
• Review authorizations and requests for compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, confidentiality, billing, productivity, and service standards.
• Communicate with supervisors, managers, clients, and customers to resolve quality, connectivity, account, and system concerns.
• Provide onboarding, training, customer-service backup, and support for assigned accounts.
• Assist with queue management, work assignments, reporting, metrics, and ordering records from storage vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of ROI fulfillment experience with hirify.global HDS or 4 years of external ROI experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and multiple EMR platforms.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ROI request types, applicable state laws, fee structures, and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong leadership, organization, multitasking, documentation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama and remain local to Huntsville.
