Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Location: Remote, North America

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 annual US base salary

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable backend services using Go and Python.
• Architect, optimize, and maintain relational database tables in PostgreSQL.
• Build and operate scalable APIs and cloud-based services.
• Lead technical projects from concept through launch while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and implement solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Must be located in North America for this remote role.
• 5–7+ years of backend software development experience.
• Production experience with Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or another relational database.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems, plus a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
