Senior Engineer, Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX / Burnet, TX facility; regular in-person attendance required

Salary: $91,000–$117,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead efforts to improve Quality Notification timeliness and reduce investigation backlogs.
• Drive Management of Change and Product Change Notification activities, including risk mitigation and compliance.
• Lead 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, containment, corrective action, and preventive action activities.
• Improve labeling compliance, Certificate of Analysis processes, hardware quality performance, and key quality metrics.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, customers, and internal stakeholders on systemic improvements and escalated quality concerns.
• Support Material Review Board activities, product and process validation, equipment qualification, new product introductions, and internal, customer, and ISO audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Engineering within semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with customer complaints, 8D investigations, Management of Change, CAPA, and Product Change Notification processes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with SPC, capability analysis, FMEA, DOE, Control Plans, statistical methods, and structured problem-solving tools.
• Ability to use SAP for quality notifications, inspection lots, nonconformance tracking, material dispositions, product holds, corrective actions, and quality reporting; regular in-person attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing ramp-up, process qualification, validation, and change management.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Lean certification.
