Application Support Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role based at 255 George St, Sydney, Australia

What you will do

• Respond to incidents in hosted production environments and resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance to maintain stability and availability.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolutions with development, operations, and business teams.
• Execute deployments and configuration changes across production and non-production environments under change management processes.
• Develop and modify application code with attention to quality, performance, and security.
• Maintain incident, operational, and technical documentation while identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.

Requirements

• IT degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in application support.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, SDLC principles, and ITIL-based processes.
• Experience hosting production environments on AWS and virtual environments.
• Advanced knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and a strong interest in process automation.
