Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) M/F

Location: Lyon, France; hybrid model with 2 days at the office and 3 days remote. Customer-site travel is required approximately 2 weeks per quarter.

What you will do

• Embed with strategic customers to map complex data environments and identify high-friction workflows such as HR onboarding and IT support.
• Build proof-of-concept AI Agents and integrations using public APIs, webhooks, LLMs, and the hirify.global ecosystem.
• Design middleware and custom connectors for enterprise systems including SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow.
• Identify recurring integration patterns, contribute code to the core platform, and create scalable Industry Vertical Packs.
• Develop integration templates, code snippets, and technical articles to enable the wider developer ecosystem.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Full-stack proficiency with Node, TypeScript, Java, or Python, plus comfort with React and backend API design.
• Passion for Generative AI, RAG architecture, AI frameworks, and agentic workflows.
• Full professional proficiency in English and ability to explain complex technical challenges as clear business outcomes.
• Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites approximately 2 weeks per quarter.

Nice to have

• Direct customer-facing consulting experience.
• Experience working in Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise identity frameworks such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or SAML.
