Staff Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global develops NOVA, a robotics platform designed to make robot programming accessible and extend its ecosystem through cloud services and third-party integrations.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture of NOVA Cloud, including service boundaries, extensibility, scalability, and multi-tenancy.
• Build the cloud-based orchestration layer for NOVA OS instances and extend the NOVA ecosystem with new capabilities.
• Design reliable integration patterns, APIs, and plugin infrastructure for external services and third-party integrations.
• Implement and own backend services end-to-end, from design through production.
• Evolve Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including Helm charts and GitOps practices.
• Define how services communicate, authenticate, and scale while bringing structure to complex technical problems.

Requirements

• In-depth experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems and platforms.
• Strong architectural thinking, including service boundaries, API design, and extensibility patterns.
• Experience building platforms used by other systems or teams for integration.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Experience with platform-level authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OIDC, and RBAC.
• Backend development experience with TypeScript and message brokers such as NATS or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience designing plugin or marketplace ecosystems.
• Production ownership experience.
• Mature CI/CD practices.
