Director of Enterprise Security and IT (AI)

Salary: $230,000–$260,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead enterprise IT and security organizations across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, identity services, endpoints, enterprise applications, AI platforms, and Help Desk operations.
• Direct governance, risk, and compliance programs, including policies, risk assessments, control frameworks, audits, and remediation.
• Lead security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, outage restoration, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Drive AI adoption by identifying high-value use cases and directing AI-powered automation, dashboards, analytics, and integrations.
• Manage teams, budgets, vendors, service providers, service delivery, and major cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Improve security, reliability, operational efficiency, availability, service levels, and employee experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience across enterprise IT and information security, including 3+ years managing people and both IT and security functions.
• Hands-on experience securing large-scale AWS or Azure environments and operating on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience building or directing AI-powered dashboards, automations, and integrations using AI APIs and platforms, with measurable outcomes.
• Technical depth across infrastructure, networks, identity and access management, endpoint management, enterprise applications, and service delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, CISSP or CISM certification, and an AWS or Azure cloud security certification.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; this is an on-site position in Irvine, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM API integration, agentic workflows, AI orchestration, and MCP.
• Experience leading enterprise AI adoption, acceptable-use governance, and management of unsanctioned AI tools.
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Experience in manufacturing or product-focused organizations and with geographically distributed IT and security teams.
• AWS or Azure Solutions Architecture certification or a relevant master’s degree.
