TL;DR
Data Scientist (AI) (Python/ML/LLMs): Building and maintaining production machine learning products, LLMs, and agent systems that deliver transparent sustainability data with an accent on end-to-end modeling, data analysis, and production-quality software. Focus on designing retrieval and prompt systems, evaluating AI safety guardrails, working with vector databases, and translating complex data into accurate customer-facing products.
Location: Remote-friendly role based in Madrid, Spain, with remote or hybrid working options and availability during CET +/- 2 hours.

What you will do
- Monitor and maintain machine learning and data science products in production.
- Build end-to-end machine learning models, LLMs, and agent systems for transparent and accurate sustainability data.
- Analyze complex datasets independently and participate in proof-of-concept development.
- Identify business needs and opportunities for data science products.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders from diverse professional backgrounds.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with data science products or a PhD in machine learning, applied mathematics, quantitative research, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Python data science ecosystem, including Pandas, Matplotlib, and Scikit-Learn.
- Experience with collaborative codebases using Git and production code beyond notebooks.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, design, and performance.
- Experience with LLM and agent prompt or retrieval design, vector databases, tool use, evaluation, and safety guardrails.
- Excellent written and spoken English at minimum C1 level, plus availability within CET +/- 2 hours.
Nice to have
- Startup experience.
- MSc or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, STEM, or a related field.
- Experience with fintech, data products, sustainability, or ESG.
