Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote in Latin America

What you will do

• Build, curate, clean, and maintain datasets for NLP and AI security use cases.
• Generate and augment synthetic datasets with LLMs to improve model robustness and cover edge cases.
• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate transformer-based models, custom classifiers, and NER models.
• Design evaluation pipelines and benchmarks for model quality, accuracy, false positives, and performance.
• Optimize inference workflows for reliable, low-latency production solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to move research and experiments into production.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with NLP, transformer-based models, and modern language-model architectures.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Hugging Face, scikit-learn, Pandas, NER, tokenization, and text classification.
• Experience designing model evaluations, benchmarks, experiments, and inference optimization techniques.
• Understanding of prompt injection, sensitive-data or PII exposure, adversarial inputs, and data privacy.
