Video Research Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Lead or integrate research activities for the Video Production Services project.
• Identify technical directions for HDR, wide color gamut, color management, and high-quality professional content production, considering complexity and real-time implementation.
• Research and implement new video processing, computer vision, and media processing solutions.
• Support the development of AI-enabled solutions for media processing.
• Contribute to invention disclosures, technology transfers, publications, conferences, and industry events.
• Participate in video and application standardization activities and collaborate with industrial and academic partners.

Requirements

• Engineering, master's, or PhD degree in video processing, computer science, color science, mathematics, signal processing, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in video processing research, algorithm exploration, and algorithm development.
• Knowledge of, or ability to develop expertise in, machine learning, deep learning, color science, computer vision, and image processing.
• Software implementation experience with C/C++, Windows/Linux, and Python.
• Record of dissemination through publications, standardization, talks, or panels.
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is appreciated.

Nice to have

• Industry experience.
• Experience with video standards such as SMPTE, ITU-R SG6, ISO/IEC MPEG, JVET, 3GPP, DVB, or ATSC.
