Forward Deployed Software Engineer, New Grad - UK Government

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid workplace with regular office presence and 25–50% travel depending on the team and location

What you will do

• Embed with UK government customers to understand operational challenges and deliver software solutions.
• Build custom applications, LLM workflows, and production systems for specific customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineers on software architecture and design decisions.
• Work with large-scale data, cloud infrastructure, storage systems, and front-end frameworks as required.
• Own projects end-to-end, from initial customer conversations through product delivery.
• Manage relationships with users, stakeholders, and executives.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Must be graduating in 2027 or before.
• Ability to work effectively in mixed technical and non-technical teams and make decisions with incomplete information.
