Graduate Software Engineer (Python/Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid with 3 days a week in the office

hirify.global is a UK fintech using AI and Open Banking data to provide fairer personal finance and improve consumer lending decisions.

What you will do

• Rotate through backend-focused engineering teams working on the core lending product and new products and markets.
• Implement business logic for hirify.global and emerging products.
• Create internal and customer-facing endpoints with FastAPI.
• Integrate external APIs to improve credit decisioning and payment processing.
• Work with PostgreSQL or MySQL to handle customer data safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with data science, risk, compliance, underwriting, and product teams while shipping code from the first week.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a degree in a technical or quantitative STEM field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar language, or a strong understanding of computer science with eagerness to learn Python-based technologies.
• Interest in financial technology and applying AI to real-world problems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Ownership, autonomy, and willingness to learn through practical software development.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Hiring process
