TL;DR
AI Engineer (GenAI): Building and optimizing reliable GenAI product features through experimentation, evaluation systems, advanced retrieval, reasoning optimization, and model fine-tuning with an accent on user value, quality, cost, and latency. Focus on designing hallucination-resistant evaluation suites, tuning hybrid and agentic RAG workflows, and scaling production-grade LLM capabilities.
Location: Based in Spain; remote or hybrid working

What you will do
- Design and run experiments to improve GenAI capabilities, user value, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Build multidimensional evaluation suites using LLM-as-a-judge, semantic checks, unit tests, and gold datasets.
- Implement advanced retrieval strategies such as hybrid search, reranking, and agentic retrieval.
- Optimize reasoning workflows including Chain-of-Thought and ReAct approaches.
- Lead supervised fine-tuning and parameter-efficient fine-tuning workflows using SFT and LoRA.
- Optimize model quality, token usage, inference latency, and production reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience shipping machine learning functionality in product-focused environments.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, vector databases, and evaluation frameworks.
- Expert-level Python and experience writing production-grade code.
- At least 3 years of experience in machine learning or software engineering, including 2+ years building and scaling GenAI or LLM-powered features.
- Strong experimental, analytical, product, ownership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English at minimum C1 level.
Nice to have
- Startup experience.
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI.
- A portfolio or GitHub with projects involving multi-agent systems, local LLM execution, or other recent AI approaches.
