Graduate AI Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: London, UK; hybrid with 3 days a week in the office

hirify.global develops AI- and Open Banking-powered consumer lending products in the UK and is expanding into new markets and product lines.

What you will do

• Build Generative AI and AI agent solutions for customer operations, internal automation, and lending operations.
• Design prompts, workflows, and evaluation processes to improve AI system reliability and usefulness.
• Integrate LLMs with internal tools, APIs, databases, and business systems.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Python code for production use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in the UK and Shenzhen, as well as risk, compliance, and customer operations teams.
• Ship production code from the first week and contribute to systems that affect customer operations, risk workflows, and lending decisions.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate in Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another technical or quantitative STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language, or a strong understanding of computer science with eagerness to learn Python-based technologies.
• Genuine interest in Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering, structured outputs, and model limitations.
• Interest in solving complex real-world problems with AI and understanding the commercial impact of technical changes.
• Ability to take ownership, work autonomously, and learn by doing.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Hiring process

• 20–30-minute take-home test.
• One-hour remote video technical interview.
