Sr. Quality Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead quality assurance and market quality activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Plan and execute product evaluations, factory audits, pre-shipment inspections, and import lot quality inspections.
• Monitor customer complaints, repair trends, quality KPIs, and field performance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Represent the Japan market by communicating customer and service insights to global Product, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive improvements, and end-to-end Quality Feedback Loop initiatives.
• Manage inspection agencies, repair centers, logistics providers, outsourcing partners, and other quality-related vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, production engineering, technical support, customer support, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, logical-thinking, problem-solving, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English are required.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across Japan, China, the United States, and global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, robotics, hardware, or related industries.
• Experience managing vendors, suppliers, external service providers, or manufacturing partners in China.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance activities, including PSE requirements.
• Chinese language capability.
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives in a global organization.
