Lead AI Engineer (Brain Health)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $222,400 – $333,600 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and scale agentic AI systems for multi-session conversational therapy.
• Design centralized services for personalized pain science education and mindset strategies.
• Define long-term technical vision for Brain Health in collaboration with product and clinical leadership.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration across data science and platform teams.
• Ensure AI solutions are robust, safe, and clinically sound within a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on shipping AI-powered products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience leading the end-to-end design and delivery of complex, user-facing products.
• Technical proficiency in modern AI development, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic systems.
• Strong fullstack foundation with experience in Python and TypeScript/NestJS.
• Experience establishing engineering standards and safety evaluations for AI systems.
