Senior Product Manager (AI)

Location: Vancouver, Canada; hybrid. The role includes the option to work anywhere in the world for up to 60 days per year.

Base pay: CAD 150,000–200,000 per year, dependent on experience, performance, and stock option compensation. US-based candidates receive location-adjusted compensation.

What you will do

• Drive commercial insurance discovery with account managers, producers, and agency leaders, mapping renewal workflows and translating findings into product definitions.
• Set the commercial product strategy and own the roadmap, deciding what to reuse from the existing platform and what to build as new capability.
• Lead 0-to-1 product development from problem definition through launch, using rapid prototypes and experiments to test risky assumptions.
• Align engineering, design, implementation, customer success, sales, and marketing while influencing platform and architecture decisions.
• Define commercial positioning, target customers, and early-adopter criteria, and manage design-partner feedback through early adoption.
• Build product measurement connecting usage to broker outcomes and iterate quickly based on results.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with a record of shipping products that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Experience taking products from concept through discovery, launch, and early scaling in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong customer discovery, research, workflow-mapping, and product-requirements skills.
• Ability to apply platform thinking and prioritize based on outcome hypotheses and customer behavior change.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority and communicating effectively with technical and insurance audiences.
• Fluency with AI-first prototyping tools such as Replit, Lovable, Make, and Claude Code.

Nice to have

• Commercial P&C insurance experience at a carrier, MGA, wholesale broker, or insurtech.
• Experience with Applied Epic, AMS360, or Hawksoft and commercial policy data.
• Knowledge of ACORD standards, forms, certificates, and carrier submission workflows.
• Experience moving an existing platform into a new market segment or working at a high-growth venture-backed company.
