Lead Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days/week in Farringdon office)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end roadmap, modeling strategy, and production performance of the AI throttling system.
• Lead and mentor a team of four data scientists and ML engineers.
• Manage the full product lifecycle for AI products from identification to launch and iteration.
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to embed AI products into business processes.
• Establish evidence-led reporting on progress and commercial impact for senior leadership.
• Review model logic, system design, and code to maintain high technical standards.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• Proven track record of owning AI/ML products from idea to production and measured impact.
• Experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Deep understanding of experimentation, causal measurement, and production ML realities.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering.
• Must be able to work from the London office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with adtech, real-time bidding, or auction systems.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, Docker, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or ClickHouse.
• Experience managing cross-functional delivery across distributed teams.
