Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in the Auckland or Sydney office. The company is office-first but offers day-to-day flexibility.

What you will do

• Design novel data products, algorithms, and models for marketing measurement and brand tracking.
• Run experiments and conduct deep statistical analysis to improve the product.
• Apply data science to business problems that support scaling and new product launches.
• Measure and improve accuracy and reliability in complex systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, market research experts, and customers.
• Define problems and solutions based on high-level business goals and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of data science experience.
• Deep understanding of frequentist and Bayesian statistics.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and causal inference.
• Experience measuring and improving accuracy and reliability in complex systems.
• Fluency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python and R, with experience working with AI.
• Research experience and the ability to contribute new methods or peer-reviewed knowledge; domain expertise or a Ph.D. is valued.

Nice to have

• Experience in econometrics, biology, thermodynamics, or another specialized research domain.
• Ph.D. or comparable research background.
