Procurement Manager

Location: Lehi, Utah, US; hybrid workplace with regular travel to warehouse sites of 30–50%, increasing during new site launches.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end sourcing strategy for consumable packaging supplies, including corrugated boxes, poly bags and mailers, bubble wrap, paper void fill, labels, stickers, and adjacent categories.
• Evaluate the current single-distributor model and recommend the right sourcing structure as volumes grow.
• Lead supplier and vendor negotiations, RFPs, contract structuring, supplier performance management, service-level oversight, and issue resolution.
• Create a repeatable procurement playbook for new warehouse launches and optimize inventory and reorder logic for facilities of different sizes.
• Own the supplies spend budget, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and track cost per unit shipped, with reporting by site, category, and supplier.
• Select or implement lightweight tools for inventory tracking, demand forecasting, and purchase order management while partnering with Warehouse/Site Operations, Finance, Real Estate/Facilities, and Sustainability/ESG.

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience, including direct management of indirect or consumables spend and vendor relationships.
• Demonstrated success negotiating supplier or distributor contracts and managing supplier performance.
• Experience with inventory management or procurement systems, including ERP, WMS-adjacent tools, or dedicated procurement platforms.
• Ability to use data for spend analysis, forecasting, and cost-per-unit tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work as a hands-on individual contributor rather than managing a large team.
• Willingness to travel regularly to warehouse sites 30–50%, with travel increasing during new site launches.

• Direct experience sourcing packaging or consumable supplies such as corrugated materials, poly bags, or mailers.
• Experience in ecommerce, fulfillment, third-party logistics, or distribution centers.
• Experience evolving a sourcing model from distributor-managed procurement toward more direct ownership.
• Experience procuring for a growing multi-site network in a lean, resource-conscious environment.
• Familiarity with ecommerce marketplace fulfillment requirements.
• Experience managing supplier relationships across multiple US regions with different freight and lead-time dynamics.
