What you will do
- Research and develop data science methods that improve predictive performance across enterprise datasets, industries, and task types.
- Design and implement production-quality, reusable Python components.
- Analyze real-world enterprise data and develop strategies for handling challenging data characteristics.
- Run rigorous experiments, design benchmarks, and use results to guide prioritization.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Research, and Applied AI teams to understand model behavior and validate approaches on customer datasets.
- Document technical findings and contribute to internal ML best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles.
- Strong Python skills with pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, and similar gradient boosting frameworks.
- Strong understanding of class imbalance, high cardinality, distribution shift, missing values, and other challenges in tabular data.
- Ability to design rigorous experiments, work autonomously, and drive projects from ideas to shipped production output.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with tabular foundation models such as TabPFN or CARTE.
- Competitive data science experience, especially strong finishes in tabular competitions.
- Experience in finance, supply chain, healthcare, retail, or industrial domains.
- Experience designing ML libraries or shared tooling.
- Familiarity with DuckDB, Polars, and reading ML research papers.
