Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco or New York, United States

Salary: $180K–$400K base, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead customer engagements from discovery and demonstrations through deployment, maintenance, and resolution of delivery blockers.
• Design and ship production-ready AI agents using large-scale data, backend code, integrations, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own the agent development lifecycle, including rapid prototyping, CI/CD, monitoring, iteration, and documentation.
• Mentor agent engineers and debug live issues while supporting customer growth and retention.
• Capture customer feedback, prototype platform features, and collaborate with product and core engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• 4+ years of customer-facing experience, including consulting or similar roles.
• 4+ years of total managerial experience.
• Understanding of Python, React, tool calls, and APIs.
• Computer science degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and work independently in a fast-changing environment.
