Manufacturing Engineer (HTS)

Location: On-site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. Must have the right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Develop and implement new HTS coil manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and transition new technology into production.
• Design, build, and commission custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Improve existing manufacturing methods to enhance repeatability and scalability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation and process risk assessments.
• Train and mentor technicians and operators on new manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent proven track record in process development.
• Strong hands-on skills with manual tools, machining, and assembly.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or mechanical engineering environments.
• Proven ability to develop or improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Practical problem-solving skills and comfort working in fast-paced, R&D-focused environments.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

• Experience in quality control and quality inspection.
